How To Stand Firm in Perilous Times

This study is currently focusing on "The Whole Armor of God" as found in Ephesians 6:10-20.

This class meets in the Sanctuary with Bro. Tim on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm. It is broadcast live on our Facebook page and is uploaded to our website at saltillomethodist.org each Wednesday night following the study.

Genesis

The world has become a confusing place. Every day we are confronted with cloudy moral issues that once seemed clear. When did the simple things get so complicated? But instead of wondering how we got here, maybe we should revisit how we got started. And there's no better place to start than the beginning of God's Word, the book of Genesis.
Our men’s group will begin looking into how God shapes lives in the beginning. Please consider joining our fellowship, discussion and reading of scripture as we study Genesis.

This class meets in the Sid Robison Classroom with Ken Smith on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm.

Trustworthy: Overcoming Our Greatest Struggles to Trust God

When hard times come and it seems God is deviating from the plan we assume our life should follow, we're much more likely to want to tame God, not trust Him. It's then that we begin to press into our ways and our own timing. No human can carry the weight of being their own god, but so many of us try.
In this 6-session study of 1 & 2 Kings, you can join Lysa TerKeurst in Israel as she honestly reveals the places of distrust in her own heart while exploring the deeply personal applicable Scriptures that will teach us how to truly trust God.

This class meets in the Find Us Faithful Classroom with Monica Morse on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm. Purchase the book on your own.

Clarifying the Bible

This is a 6-week study giving participants the basic framework and storyline of the entire Bible. The class will consist of a short video and discussion. The video is presented in a passionate, compelling fashion, delivering on its promise to help people see the Bible with more clarity than ever before.

This class meets in the Special Studies Classroom with Bro. John on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm. Purchase the book from the church office for $10.

The Red Sea Rules

Just as Moses and the Israelites found themselves caught between “the devil and the deep Red Sea,” so are we sometimes overwhelmed by life’s problems. Using the Israelites’ story as an example, Robert Morgan offers ten sound strategies for moving from fear to faith. Among them: Realize that God means for you to be where you are. Acknowledge your enemy, but keep your eyes on the Lord. Pray. It is certain that we will face difficulties, and that God will allow them, as He allowed the Israelites to become trapped between Pharaoh’s rushing armies and the uncrossable Red Sea. But just as certain is the fact that the same God who led us in will lead us out. As The Red Sea Rules makes comfortingly clear, He is in control.

This 10 week study will begin on September 6th at 6:30 pm with Angie Herring.  It will include a book and a study guide for $12.
