The Bible Recap 2025

Have you ever closed your Bible and thought, “What did I just read?” Maybe you’ve tried to read through the Bible but quit when it felt confusing or impersonal?
The Bible Recap is here to help! It’s a short podcast/video (~8 minutes per day) and book (2 pages per day) by Tara-Leigh Cobble. She’ll highlight and summarize that day’s Bible reading in a casual, easy to understand way to not only help you read scripture but to love reading it!
It's super easy to join. Everything is outlined for you here. Then if you want to discuss with others what you've learned or discovered each week, there are three ways to do that:
  • Men’s Group on Tuesday mornings at 6:00 am with Bro. John and Nathan Murff beginning Jan. 7th
  • Women’s Group on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm beginning Jan. 8th with Kathryn Murff in in the "Be the Light" classroom
  • Women's Group on Thursday mornings at 10:00 am beginning Jan. 9th with Kathryn Murff  in the Adeline Jones classroom.

Exodus

Revelation

The book of Exodus chronicles the Israelites’ epic journey from slavery to freedom. Yet it’s also a journey plagued by fear, doubt, and distrust in God. Today the story remains the same, as a loving God continues to deliver broken people. This study takes on an in-depth look at the Israelites’ difficult path to the Promised Land, and reveals the freedom found in trusting a faithful God. On Wednesday, January 8th, at 6:30, we will start in in-depth Men’s Bible Study of this second book of God’s Word.

Please consider joining us in the Sid Robison room. If you have any questions, please contact Ken Smith.
Perhaps no other book of the Bible feels as inaccessible and as intimidating to us as the very last one. Join us for Jen Wilken's 10 week verse-by-verse Bible study. The study will help us discover how the last book of the Bible—the culmination of God's great story—speaks both a steadying word of assurance and a strong call to endure to the church in every age.
Classes will begin Wednesdays at 6:30 pm on Jan. 8th. Contact is Stacey Greenwood or Kelly Wigginton.
